VI·ZA RELEASE FOURTH TRACK “A WORLD OF BROKEN MIRRORS”

Los Angeles, CA – VI·ZA is excited to announce the release of the group’s fourth new song for 2017. Following the release of “Viktorious”, “Cash Karma” and “Velvet Shade” amidst acclaim and the anticipation of a loyal fan base, “A World of Broken Mirrors” has now arrived for listeners to soak in and enjoy, telling a story of self pity and fear that burdens our now more demanding societies.

Artwork by Alex Zablotsky

“I wrote this song during a state of melancholy/anxiety one early morning, the sad lead melody was dragging me throughout a restless night, haunting me in my inner sleep as if I was ‘falling from the clouds clinging upside down’ and the combination of the Duduk and Oud lead melody was the perfect emotional expression to it,” said K’noup.

“The fan response to all of our songs has been super inspiring,” said Andrew. “I enjoy the combination of oud and duduk together as these instruments represent two sides of our cultural coin and are part of what makes our project special,” he added.

“A World of Broken Mirrors” features plenty of signature VI·ZA moments and orchestrations, melding oud, duduk and the band’s rock influences together for a rich and textured sound.

After returning to the stage in early 2017 the band has been writing and recording actively the past several months, concentrating on composing new material as the band enters a new chapter of its growth. The songwriting effort of the group has already resulted in a near complete process of recording and mixing 6 exciting and groundbreaking tracks, with plans underway for even more new material to continue moving forward in 2018. The band has been recording with talented recording engineer Yury Anisonyan out of Live Wire Studios in Los Angeles. Anisonyan brings his expertise and unique mixing philosophy to VI·ZA’s sound, creating a unique tapestry of soundscapes.

Each new song will be released on VI·ZA’s dedicated YouTube channel at www.youtube.com/user/ExperienceViza.

VI·ZA’s new material is an exploration of sounds both old and new, and is sure to pique the interest of both diehard fans and new listeners. With vocals and a diverse array of instruments like the oud and duduk to combine with guitar, bass and drums, there are some exciting possibilities when it comes to both the core and potential artistic horizon of the band’s sound. Song titles include “Cash Karma”, “Viktorious”, “A World of Broken Mirrors”, “Aphrodite”, “Velvet Shade” and “Vicious Game”, representing diverse but resonant themes ranging from satire, continuity and social commentary to raw human emotions like love, loss and passion. Whether it’s VI·ZA’s bread and butter energetic style of pulsing percussion with exotic melodies or experimental ideas exploring the spiritual side of their art, the guys promise to keep things interesting with fans coming back for more, especially when it comes to documenting their work in the studio.

Keep an eye out for the band on Facebook (www.facebook.com/vizamusic) and Instagram (@vizamusic).

After releasing several albums, performing at major festivals worldwide, joining System of a Down frontman SerjTankian for two worldwide tours and supporting Gogol Bordello and Skindred, VIZA is looking to explore a new dimension of sound. As a fixture of the Sunset club scene known for energetic and captivating

Lyrics:

I fell right through the clouds,

clinging upside down I thought of you.

You, six feet underground nor making a sound, my god it’s true.

I ask myself if you were here would I burst into tears.

I tell myself there’s only you in a world of broken mirrors.

Why are you so proud?  Why are you so loud?  Why are you so shrewd?

You, you’re making matters worse, you continuously curse our love in two.

I ask myself if you were here would I burst into tears.

I tell myself there’s only you in a world of broken mirrors.

Los Angeles, CA – VI·ZA is excited to announce the release of the group’s third new song for 2017. “I’m excited for us to release this track,” said Andrew. “This song was composed as a duet and the way it turned out surpassed my expectations – really excited for the new flavors we are incorporating to develop our sound and expand our boundaries with these new tracks. Everyone did an awesome job, on this and on all our songs – this whole process has been very exciting for all of us, he added.”

“This song to me is signature VI·ZA, its melodic, its exotic, its rhythmic and passionate,” said K’noup. “Furthermore its the first time Andrew has written lyrics for the group and he did a wonderful job capturing the color and mood of the composition.”

“Velvet Shade” features dynamic musical interludes, weaving together the band’s signature acoustic folk influences combined with moments of aggression and heavy guitars. Kzirian also joins lead singer K’noup on vocals to provide a captivating blend of various textures.

Lyrics:

Need to feel my janna.

Be the beat my janna.

Feel release my janna.

Need to feel my janna.

Which way to burn the beds?

Which way, we’re beat to death.

Which way to feast revenge?

We’re lost in the velvet shade.

Take the lead my janna.

Come to me my janna.

Please believe my janna.

Take the lead my janna.

Which way, my heart has bled?

Which way, why do i dread?

Which way, it’s in my head.

We’re lost in the velvet shade.

Which way, my pain will end.

Which way, just left for dead.

Which way, i will ascend.

I’m found, in the velvet shade.

VI·ZA RELEASE SECOND TRACK “CASH KARMA”

Los Angeles, CA – VI·ZA is excited to announce the release of the group’s second new song for 2017. Following the release of initial track “Viktorious” amidst excitement and acclaim, “Cash Karma” is continuing in the steps of the bands innovative marketing approach to unveil new tracks once per month. After returning to the stage in early 2017 the band has been writing and recording actively the past several months, concentrating on composing new material as the band enters a new chapter of its growth.

“Cash Karma is a song inspired by superstition so hopefully the song in itself will bring us some good fortune.” said K’noup.

The songwriting effort of the group has already resulted in a near complete process of recording and mixing 6 exciting and groundbreaking tracks, with plans underway for even more new material to continue moving forward.

“We are really pumped to release songs in this manner,” said Kzirian. “Feels like we are constantly providing something new and fresh in terms of content for fans, and in the modern age it’s the right way to go. We feel we have a more mature – yet still authentic VI·ZA sound. It’s very exhilarating as we feel like we are growing and pushing the envelope of what we can do.”

The new track offers a glimpse of how the band blends various styles together in one song, touching on delicate melody-infused verses of oud, duduk and percussion before organically developing to rock influenced choruses with swelling guitars, bass and vocals.

“I’m excited for fans to hear what an oud can sound like as I’ve experimented with lots of different tones and effects. I still use the natural acoustic for our softer moments – but this track was the right fit to push the oud in the bridge with the electric guitar feel, although with no frets, it’s a truly unique and distinguishing sound. I think fans will get a kick out of it,” added Kzirian.

The band has been recording with talented recording engineer Yury Anisonyan out of Live Wire Studios in Los Angeles. Anisonyan brings his expertise and unique mixing philosophy to VI·ZA’s sound, creating a unique tapestry of soundscapes.

Lyrics:

Numb your heart on mine,
take the poisoned bait,
pet the porcupine,
but pull out all its needles.
Pay the toll on time or burn the bridge that ridicules you.

I can’t find myself,
but I can see the price tag on your head.
I don’t care what anybody says.
I’d rather you be sorry and be dead,
my rabbit foot will summon your ‘Cash Karma’.

Rent the poet’s rhyme,
with an attitude,
eat the porcupine,
swallow all its needles.
Pay the toll on time or burn the bridge that ridicules you.

I can’t find myself,
but I can see the price tag on your head.
I don’t care what anybody says.
I’d rather you be sorry and be dead,
my rabbit foot will summon your ‘Cash Karma’.

Secrets are nothing more than clothes buried in your soul.
Secrets are nothing more than shame sentenced to disdain.
Secrets are nothing more than clothes buried in my soul.

I can’t find myself,
but I can see the price tag on your head.
I don’t care what anybody says.
I’d rather you be sorry and be dead,
my rabbit foot will summon your ‘Cash Karma’.

Lyrics:

A Cracker Jack is in the sand,
a big surprise waits in my hand.

I’m Viktorious

That’s quite the dog you got right there,
now here’s a glimpse of my pet bear.

I’m Viktorious

Now if you’re alive.
Soon you will die.
I bid you goodbye.

Apparently I’m old enough,
to drag my Rolex through the mud.

I’m Viktorious

My family tree is a golden one,
I spread my seed with a water gun.

I’m Viktorious

Now if you’re alive.
Soon you will die.
So wave goodbye.

Come right this way.
You’re in my way.
Hey watch your mouth.
Go wash your mouth.
You know who I am?
Know who I am.
Get out of my way.

I broke this mic with my tongue.
I sang this song for everyone.

I’m Viktorious.

I’m almost there. I almost quit.
You’ll never guess who I just kissed…Viktorious.
